Shanghai, China – 14 October 2016
Yagao Meihua Hotel Management has announced the formal opening of the Mercure Shanghai Zhangjiang. The hotel, formerly the Pudong International Talent City Hotel Shanghai, has been rebranded. In the more than nine months since Huazhu Hotels Group and Accor Hotels Group formally announced the signing of a long-term strategic alliance agreement, three Mercure hotels have opened in Shanghai.
The Mercure Shanghai Zhangjiang is located at Pudong Zhangjiang High-Tech Park, just 3 minutes from Shanghai Metro Line 2’s Longyang Road Station and the terminus of the Shanghai Maglev Train Line, and 30 minutes from Pudong international Airport. The hotel is adjacent to the Shanghai New International Expo Center and Shanghai Disney Resort. In addition, the hotel is in close proximity to many key local destinations, including Shuguang Hospital, the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Shanghai Film Art Academy as well as several large “green belts” parks and areas of extensive greenery, offering a most comfortable and elegant accommodation experience for both business and leisure travelers.
The hotel has 283 rooms, each with its own unique style. With the size of the room averaging 25 square meters, all rooms come equipped with a 29″ LCD TV, a safe for valuables, an electric kettle, hair dryer, mini bar, high-quality furniture and bathroom accessories and equipment specially designed based on the principle of “human engineering”. The design and the array of accessories assure the hotel guest of a warm and comfortable experience in an elegant environment. For families visiting Shanghai, the hotel offers a brand-new comfort-focused family suite which integrates the famous Disney characters into the existing exquisite and elegant designs, creating a dynamic and pleasing accommodation environment for children and adults alike. The hotel’s free Disney shuttle bus can deliver you and your family directly to the entrance to Shanghai Disneyland Park at any time of the day.
In addition, the wall-hanging sculpture of Michelangelo’s Genesis right above the waterfall within the spacious 7-meter high lobby is a masterpiece blending modern design and humanism in art. The hotel houses two restaurants serving fresh and sumptuous food around the clock. The hotel’s seven small to medium-sized meeting rooms, ranging in size from 56 to 150 square meters, with a wide array of choice in terms of functionality and style and accommodating from ten to 120 people, cater to the needs of a variety of guests and business executives and offer an optimal venue for business and other kinds of meetings.
