Venezuela To Develop Tourism Industry
CARACAS, Aug 14 (BERNAMA-NNN-Prensa Latina) ? Venezuelan authorities are promoting ways to expand tourism in the country?s key destinations, in a strategy aimed at developing the sector in the short term, reported official sources.
According to the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur), special days were organised to give assistance to the tour operators in Falcon and Nueva Esparta states.
The initiative is included in the government?s second phase of efficiency in the street, a public work system which offers direct contact with the communities.
In the case of Falcon, more than 60 people were advised in topics such as National Tourism Register (NTR), permits or licenses, categorisations, delivery of suggestions and complaints books, technical feasibility, and credits.
The work in Nueva Esparta was jointly carried out with the Tourism Corporation (Corpotur), attached to the government in that Island?s state.
