Rosewood signs agreement with Vattanac to manage hotel in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
The latest deal is the seventh management agreement for Rosewood in Asia; other agreements include Rosewood ultra-luxury hotels in Beijing, Chongqing, Bangkok, Phuket, Jakarta and Bali.
The hotel will be situated in the heart of the capital’s central business district along Preah Monivong Boulevard, occupying the top 14 floors in the 39-storey Vattanac Capital Tower One.
Rosewood Phnom Penh will be near to the royal palace, national museum and central market, and will offer a panoramic view of the city and the Mekong River.
The hotel will feature 148 rooms and suites, and will also offer an additional 27 luxury serviced residences for long-stay visitors to the city.
The new hotel will include dining options such as a 120-seat bistro, 60-seat lobby lounge, two speciality restaurants and a sky bar on a cantilevered terrace.
Additionally, the hotel will feature a Sense spa with five treatment rooms, a 20m swimming pool on the 33rd floor and a fully equipped fitness centre, as well as The Pavilion, a residential-style meeting and function space and multi-functional meeting rooms.
Indonesia-based Jaya International Design will design the property’s interior for the public areas and guest rooms, along with Japan-based Bond Design Studio for the food and beverage spaces.
Rosewood Hotel Group CEO Sonia Cheng said that Rosewood’s A Sense of Place concept, which embraces local history and culture, will be beautifully expressed in “exotic and vibrant” Cambodia.
“We are honoured that Vattanac Properties has given us this opportunity to introduce Rosewood to Cambodia and provide a window into this fascinating world for visitors,” Cheng added.
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts manages 18 luxury properties in nine countries, while Vattanac Properties is a Cambodian property developer whose portfolio includes the Vattanac Capital mixed-use development, Vattanac Industrial Parks and an integrated golf resort.
